Understanding that, if you are serious about acquiring power and knowledge, you will get yourself a copy of this book. Practical Sigil Magic has gone for as little as $65 for a good clean copy (moon waning, well after full), and for greater than $250 when the moon is waxing to full. Practical Sigil Magic delivers completely. As for obtaining a copy of PSM, watch eBay for it. The rich fullness of information contained within its pages is not to be found on the web. With that in mind, upon reading the book and putting its teachings into practice, it becomes quite obvious why PSM is so sought after, and why it is unlikely that it will ever be reprinted - it was never intended for the eyes of the masses indeed, giving this book to the unprepared would be closely equivalent to giving handgrenades to toddlers. If you are seeking a book that will supply you with a small but very versatile range of relatively simple but exceedingly potent techniques, showing you how to quickly and easily access and alter both your own innermost being and the fabric of your local reality field, look no further. However, upon acquisition one quickly discovers that it is very much worth whatever the price tag that accompanied it. It is forthright, intelligently presented and does not meander from its objective. All in all, the book is rather scarce, and expensive. is a book for people interested in achieving results. It is worth even the large price it is commanding today. All in all I would highly recommend this work. Now, one area I am exploring in my studies is the question whether ancient Scandinavian traditions may have some important parallels to Spare's approach in terms of poetic helmings (used to obscure meanings in certain forms of poetry), etc. However within that short length we see the outlines of a simple, elegant system drawn that needs little further explanation. My only complaint has to do with the fact that the book is short (a bit over 100 pages of main text set in larger-than-normal font). Novices and experienced magicians alike have much to gain from this book. ![]() It covers a wide range of material in a way which is at once both basic and provides room for practice and experimentation. The word sigil is latin and means: sign, mark, or seal. Company logos, paper money, book coversall of them are sigils, or symbols, that represent what someone wants them to represent. Think of any symbol that recurs in your life. The book is basic, accessible, but not without substance. Sigils are designs that represent a certain idea or goal. In this book Frater U.:D.: explores the system of A. ![]() ![]() those involved in chaos magic or Hermeticism (due to the section on magic squares and sigils at the end). Now valued at several times its original price, it is a very valuable contribution to the library of any magician, esp. It never ceases to amaze me how Llewellyn puts some of their best books out of print and keeps the fluffy crap.
